im thinking of getting the oem fogs but anyone got pics of a closeup shot of teh 99-00 civic oem fogs. i cut out that vent thing. my friend told me that i need to screw on the fog housing in on the vent. will i have any problem installing the fogs if my vents are cut out?

from looking at the instructions, i guess i cant have fogs now. i guess i needed the vents so the fogs can be screwed on it. but my vents have already been cut. guess i have to go back to HID.

unfortunatley you do need he vents...you cut your bumper out not the vetns.....you have to put a screw through it..I think that you could jimmy rig something so that it would work, but heres to pictures for ya..

you DEFINITELY DON"T NEED VENTS...... however with out them your going to have a gap that will look funny.... the bolt goes through the grey/silver outside cover, through the vent, and into the metal peice that is mounting the foglight.... but if your vent is out there will only be a gap... why in the world would you cut out your vents anywhat?

Yeah you do not need the vents! I installed my fog lights on the same car 99-00 civic si. Your suppose to drill a hole throught the vent so a screw will go through into the metal bracket. It will just look a little funny without the vent there but you can definetly put OEM fogs on with the vent.

I dont think you can because I dont think you have the right kind of bumper....Post a picture of your front bumper and we can see if you could put them in

sucks, i dont want to ghetto rig the fogs, it might fall off or not alight correctly. the reason why my vents were cut is because thats how i got the bumper. i damage my bumper, so my friend gave me a bumper and lip for $50. i didnt mind the cut vent, it helps out for air for my comptech ice box.

You won't have to ghetto rig anything, you just won't have the vents there. It's not really a big deal it will just affect the look nothing else.
