99-00 taillights on a 98 lx

Will 99-00 tailights fit on a 98 4dr?
Reason is I found some red/clear tails for a 99-00 that i really like and want to know if they would fit?

It depends are the tails from a 2dr or 4dr if its a 4dr I see why not but if its from a 2dr forget it

well you are trying to put 99-00 coupe tailights on a 98 4d, then its not going to directly swap, with a little bit of work you should be able to

My bad the 99-00 lights are for a 4dr and my car the 98 lx is a 4dr

If you are taking 4dr lights and putting them on a 4dr, they should swap no problem...99-00 coupe swap right into the 96-98 lights from what I have heard...never done it though because I have a 00 civic

yea i know the coupe taillights swap from the 99-00 on to the 96-98 cuz i did it on mine. i don't see why they should be the same on sedans

Yes 99-00 CIvic coupes tail light should fit 96-98 civic's although sedan tail light will not fit. They do sell red&clear lights just for 96-98 Civic's i got a 99 civic and bought red&clear for $40.00

NO THE SEDAN TAILS ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE

96-98's and 99-00's are different, and do not bolt up the same like the coupes. ... you can get red clears for the 96-98's though ... they are pretty cheap too since the pieces on the trunk are already red clear so you only need 2 out of 4 pieces.

You got no choice, if you wanna get clear for the 4dr, then you have to buy all four, thats how they come, you wont be able to find only 2 unless their stolen................!

but if you wanna save money then you could do what i did , and buy all clear then spray paint them yourself , red, black, or whatever your crazy mind can think of

I bought mine from El Monte Honda, just the corners. My bro put red clear film on the clear part here is the pic.

He only put the red clear film on the bottom corners where the blinker would flash. The top was already red.

get the all clear if you want many tickets by the cops. not to mention how ugly it looks at night with any amper bulb/color you put.
