I just bought a 99 MR EX just last night, and noticed that the heat was not blowing very hot, as in cold. lol We topped off the anti-freeze, didn't work. Changed the Thermostat and put new anti-freeze into the system. No luck. Still blowing cold.
I did notice that right next to the firewall is a valve that is supposed to open and close (I'm assuming) with the thermostat cable (with the loop at the end, yeah, that's the one). Well it's not moving when I turn the knob to change the temp of the air. It doesn't do anything. Tried taking the cable off and turning the peg that it's on, nothing changed. The cable itself will not move even manually.
Also checked the fuse box in the bay and cabin, nothing related to the heater, or blower motor is blown.
I just want my damned heat to work, it's ~20 degrees out here. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?
