99 Headlights on 98

I read the sticky concerning differnces, but it does not mention a size differnece. Will the 99 headlights fit on a 98 without any adjustments?

Also there are a lot of fake JDM headlights on e-bay with black housings, and rather than painting my old ones, i need to buy a new pair since my drivers side headlamp is fogged over and aftermarket. Would this be a smart choice, they're only a bill.

Thanks.

99 wont fit on a 98, you would have to do the 99 front end conversion. If you look closely at a 98 and 99 headlight close together you can see a difference in the slope on the top of the headlight, therefore the hood wouldnt line up right with it. As for the JDM style headlights, most of them on EBAY are fake, actually i bet 99% of them are fake. You could fix your headlight fogging by re-sealing it with silicone if you wanted to paint the yourself, it would save you 100 bucks for the same result.

so if i were to bake it how would i fix the fogging, i need to replace it anyways because it's cracked so i felt that just getting a new pair would be better. thanks though.

to fix the fogging you would bake them to take them apart, wipe out any moisture, and when you put them back together re-seal them with silicone to keep moisture out. But since your saying they are cracked then yea you need to get new ones cuz moisture will get into that crack.

Depends on where the crack is. If its in the lens then yeah replace it. If the crack is in the housing just seal it up.

just get some new ones. Everyone likes the 99-00 headlamps, but I like my 96's just fine.
