Are you talking about the spindle nut that holds each CV axle to the wheel hub, or something on the transmission itself?
I'll assume the spindle nut, and say, it's a huge pain. I think the last time I did it I wound up sticking a large screwdriver in the brake rotor to stop it against the brake caliper and then using a large breaker bar on a 32mm socket with a still larger 'cheater bar,' (pipe over breaker bar to make it longer) and bent the screwdriver badly.
