99 Sir II

Is there a JDM 99 Civic SIR II. Did it come with the bumper moldings like the 96-98? Does anyone have any pictures of this?

to the best of my knowledge there are no moldings for the 99-00 bumpers. some company sells universal moldings that you can just put on ur bumper, but it won't look the same.

the sirII was the 92-95 hatch not 96 and up, and came with the B16A2 motor, teh 96 and up hatch involved the type R, not sure what exact years between 96 and 2000 though.

Type R is the EK9

there is also an EK4 I thought this was the SIR

I think there was others too, but I know the type R is not the only 96-00 hatch

the ek4 is a sirII it comes with a b16a 170hp engine. pics are hard to find, especially interior pics.

but this is the 96-98 model hatch.

no... there is an sir II for the ek... only hatches tho. also, no jdm civics came with a b16a2... thats the usdm spec motor. they came with b16a's.

no, they don't

but the rear bumper will go on directly... the front will require either a 96-98 conversion or some universal moldings like the ones i mentioned in my original post.

I was just looking for more photos for my collection, and I came upon this and thought of this thread. It is listed on a site as a 1999 Honda Civic SiR. I believe this car is from Canada, judging on the site.

that's becuase canada did get teh sir, which again would be our si coupe from 99-2000, which is very possible that they produced a hatch in canada under that label, is it a true sir, no, that's evident by the left hand drive, no side marker lights, by the way can you supply the link to that picture.

real honda japan engine for honda japan cars dont have a number at the end on the stamp.

88-91 b16a - 1st gen - 160hp
92-95 b16a - 2nd gen - 170hp
96-00 b16a - 3rd gen - 170hp

the b16a4 is a 96-00 is on a ek4 for asia, not in japan. for the b16a3, im not familar with it so i dont know what country they are mode for, all i can remember is that its made for the delsol.

Is there any difference between the wiring harness's, other than the fact that they are shorter due to the fact they are right hand drive. Could you use the USDM B16a SI wiring harness for any of them? How about a B16b? Same basic motor.
