A/C Radio Bezel

Much like blaklyte, my 2006 Alpine CD player was stolen just a couple days ago along with my iPod and textbooks and schoolwork. Just to piss me off, they took my mailbox key and phone charger. But hey at least my window wasn't shattered. I would post this in his thread but my topic is actually different.

When the thief took the radio, he busted up the radio/AC bezel pretty good. I was wondering since I'm going through the effort of replacing it, I might as well swap in a 99-00 bezel with the AC on the left side instead of putting a 96-98 bezel back on. How easy is this to do?

i maybe be completely wrong (which i usually am) , but i could sworn they were different sizes, my freind has a 96-98 and it looks bigger then my 99, but my eyes can be deciving.

You will find some good information if you search a little but to answer your questions, Yes it will fit. Getting the controls to work is the tricky part since they are completely different systems.

If your not somewhat mechanically / technically inclined, dont try it.

I'm actually very 12-volt inclined, mechanics skills are above average. All I needed to know is if it would physically fit the rest I can figure out.

It will physically fit, but you need all the mechanics behind it. Search and you'll see someone has done it before.

My digital camera is at my parents house. But trust me it's unsightly. Thanks for the help... I've never been very good at searching forums but it's a great time to learn.
