When my a/c first turns on it is both extremely hot and smells like a lump of crap. Help?

1) Remove dead rodent from your dash vent system.

2) Check hood fuse 56 and dash fuse 17. Does the condenser fan run and does the compressor clutch engage when the A/C is on?

I got a similar problem, mine is that at first it blows hot but cools down when I drive for some time and everynow and then a fan behind the glove box makes a huge sound like its a lawn mower, any suggestions?

Check whether your the condenser fan (driver's side) runs when the A/C is on.

Remove the blower motor to see whether it is filled with junk that has fallen into the vents.
