Hey everyone,

Just wanted to start by saying hello and explaining my situation, and yes i have read over alot of topics on multiple forums just so you know ;) I am currently rebuilding my D16y8 for turbo. And i had a few questions i couldn't seem to get answers for on other threads(or at least find them). So here goes.

My current list for my rebuild is

CP or Vitara Pistons(Havent Decided)
New sleeves
Eagle rods
Injectors of course
Vtec Solenoid
Valve job

My questions in short are, what compression should i be shooting for with a constant 12-15 psi, for engine stability? Are vitaras worth it for a turbo rebuild? Keeping in mind im not rich, what sort of internal parts would you suggest for stability with a turbo setup?

I'm by no means a know it all, feel free to correct anything you see wrong.
And let me know what you would suggest.
Just looking for some knowledge, not a SET UP MY d16 please ;)

Thanks for your patience.

Vitaras are very strong pistons and are probly the best bang for the buck as far as pistons go. There are many set ups pushing over 400hp with Vitaras. Vitaras will put you at about 8.5:1 compression ratio. I wouldnt sleeve the block unless your looking for massive amounts of power.

You will not be able to accomplish what you want for this price range. Is this assumption including hardware, electronics, and tuning? Regardless, as gonzo stated: you do NOT need to resleeve your block unless you are going to push 400+whp. Vitara pistons are perfectly fine for what you are wanting... plus you need to put into consideration of the oiling issues that all d16yX blocks have as well as many other problems that arise when boosting a n/a engine. You have alot to learn, sorry to drop this word on you, but: SEARCH ;)
