A few questions

1- I'm sure some of ya'll have ran into this problem. I've been fine with it for a while now but when I got my 96 EX Coupe it had an old pioneer cd player in it. Almost immediately I replaced the CD player and put in some subs. When I took the CD player out I realized whoever had the car before me had rabbit eared the old radio (no cassette nor cd) into the new headunit. I just thought they were on crack or something so I pulled it all out then rewired it but when I did that the roof light wouldn't turn on nor would my keyless entry work. Anyone know how to fix this? Also, is there an easier way to get the headunit out without taking essentially the entire underdash out? All the screws to get to it seem to be under the panels and if I don't do it that way, then the metal cord that switches the air temperature keeps me from getting the panel that the headunit rests in out far enough.

2- The lights on the shift box (I have an automatic) don't come on. I replaced the bulb and everything, checked the fuse...nothing...

Thanks guys

I dont know about the problem your having with the lights, but the keyless entry runs off of the stock headunit.

That's why he had it spliced into the other headunit.

If you want your keyless entry system to work again, relocate the stock headunit somewhere out of the way and connect it back to the wiring harness.

It's in there right now, I just didn't know if there's a harness to get around that and the roof light. The keyless entry can be easily replaced, but I don't know how to do the roof light.
