Hey everyone. This thread is up because I sold my car on 08/19/2006. There were many reasons for this decision, but one thing's for sure: I had a lot of fun learning from my civic and will use what I learned in my future projects. So, with that, here's my little dedication:
My car was purchased a couple days after I graduated from high school. It was the first car I have ever owned with my name on the title. Even though it didn't look like much, I saw a lot of potential.
Soon after, I began doing some basic mods like intake, exhaust, rims, etc. Soon after I bought coilover sleeves, I learned a very valuable lesson: Once you lower with coilover sleeves, you must purchase aftermarket shocks to compensate or else... I found that out the hard way and I bought my KYB GR2s which was comfortable enough and still gave me that aggressive look...
I eventually blew those shocks out and picked up a set of AGXs to give me complete control of my ride height and quality. Then I got the front lip and performed some DIYs to improve the look of my ride while keeping it at an affordable price. Here are the pics before the major DIY overhaul...
I decided to give my car a further makeover by painting the moldings surrounding my ride (except for the sideskirts because I was planning to paint those the same time as my lip). After adding some suspension mods, ground wires, sound system, etc, I felt that I reached as far as I want to go without a swap. I thought for a while and felt that riding in the sedan didn't give me all that I wanted in a ride. Instead of proceeding with a swap, I decided to sell my ride. Here are the final photoshoot (I would have shot more if the security guards didn't kick me out):
After all the blood, sweat and tears, I finally ended up full circle...
Well, ladies and gents, I will still be around this forum but unfortunately I won't be rollin in a civic. Maybe, one day, I might roll in one just to relive some of the glory days but for now I'll be moving on in a different direction. Payce
