A friend in need of some help

Hey guys I work with one of my good friends. Lemme explain to you her situation. Her ex hubby has part custody of her kid.... well her kid (Amber) lives with her here in Texas and goes to Ohio to visit her Dad, that haven't paid child support for 10 yrs. I know i know sob story but you know they almost issued an Amber alert cause he took her and tried to hide her. The cops did find out that she was enrolled in a school up there and its almost been 2 months since she has talked with Amber. My friend (Michelle) wants to go see her in Ohio However she does have 3 other kids she needs to take care of and can't miss 1 day of work since her budget is tight. Anyway my reason for posting is if you guys wanna help out in anyway .50 cents to $10.00 for a donation for her to go visit/get her kid in Ohio and take her back would be much appreciated. Cops suck ass they told her to just pretty much suck it up... Since he is her parent they can't do anything. I dunno bout u guys but she got my $10 bux of course she is my friend but anything will help out if you guys wanna. Thanks for listening...... Also if you do donate Ill have her keep the receipts for the gas so you guys can know this isnt a scam. Ill scan em and post em. She is trying to leave to go by the 18th. of Sept. If you donate Ill post some arrangements when I can meet up with some of you. Thanks again.

That's so much B/S... what kind of cops you dealing with? If her ex is not complying with the terms of the divorce, that should be grounds for criminal proceedings.
My stepdad is currently having the same kind of trouble with his ex wife... although in this case, my stepdad's ex has taken his daughter and run off to mexico... we haven't heard anything from either of them in many years now....
What your friend should do BEFORE she makes a trip up there is get ahold of a P.I. and have her daughter found for sure... school, home address, vehicles her ex may be using... everything... so there's no doubt she'll find her when she does finally get to go up there.... otherwise, it could quite possibly become a wasted trip.
Also, your friend needs to get with her divorce lawyer about this and see just want kind of legal action CAN be taken toward her ex.... if possible, take him back to court and get all custody rights revoked, and have all back child support garnished from his current wages at work.

I'm in for 10... but if she's going to do anything.. make sure she does it right the first time... and to the full extent of the law.

Thanks soo much you guys I really do appreciate your help!! Killa: Yes we spoke both with the CPS for Texas as well as Ohio. She did confirm with the school where her child is enrolled at up there that she certainly is there. The Investigator of the case did find the true address of her ex. They have been divorced for soo long now. I dont know why he decided to do this he never has in the past. Anyway what the State of Texas CPS told her that there will be no charges pressed against her if she tries and take her daughter and bring her back to Texas on Texas soil. However, there are laws and restrictions when Ohio state gets involved. I think its all mess. And I know for sure that he will go down. She just trying to take every precaution. She lucky it aint me if it was my daughter gone for 2 days I would've caught a case.... But I will keep you guys updated. The law just sucks ass for her!!

Dude are like this chicks sob shoulder. Thats if this is even true. IMO you need to get up out of this s**t before you get to deep.

hey im just trying to do what I can for her. I am a decent person and for those who helped we need more ppl like you. Not like Im asking you to fork out $$$$ and tons of $$$$ hey its on u if you dont wanna help then dont. Im her support and ur right i dont wanna be in too deep but I do what I can from a friend's perpesctive. so anyway this will be my last post again thanks guys for those who helped.
