a human living in my BOV?!?!?!

after my bov goes off and if i let it just roll in gear but clutch pressed in..i can hear a whistle..like a human whistle..do a whistle real quick and thats probably how it sounds like..but back to topic..yea and when i rev it in neutral a little i'd just *whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle* (no pause)..is there any problem in that or will that be ok? im using the Greddy Type S bov right now..im not even shure where to put the hard/soft nut..so i just leave it in the middle.=P

How much boost are you running and what turbo? I may beable to tell you what you should set the hard or soft to.

I would move it a bit more towards the hard side, if its whistling at idle, the bov is set to soft. Also, make sure its making a clear woosh sound, if it sounds weak, play with it a bit more.

when the bov releases..it sounds like ...chains being slapped together/whip..i'l leave it down at hard and drive it around tomorow and see/hear the difference..how do i go about oiling a bov?

No s**t I have a 14b @8psi and it whistles a little bit. What kind of bov do you have? I have a uncrushed dsm 1g. I don't think mine whistles when I have the clutch pressed in tho

@ 7PSI, getting the same whistling. Think it may be my BOV tho. I don't mind it. Seems pretty normal

I dont have a turbo or supercharge yet; but in fact as soon as I put a cheap "P-flow", at the momemt I shift up,when I press the clutch and release to push on gaz, I heard that anoying whistle sound....

I'll figure out what it is in my case and I'll post my solution... I hope to fix it soon as I'm not the only one having that problem...

Do you have a boost guage? if so are you loosing any boost when its running normally?

my DSM bov whistles as well. it sits open at idle and part throttle so as the air is sucked in through the bov, it whistles
