A little help please: Another cluster swap question

Hi All,

Like many other people here I am tired of my VP style gauge cluster on my 05' Coupe VP. So I bought a 2005 EX cluster of Ebay with the tachometer.

I have looked through the other cluster swap threads but I am looking some more clear answer for a couple questions I have.

Is the cluster just plug and play or am I going to have to repin the connections?

Is there going to be any warning lights that stay on in the new cluster? For example, since my car doesn't have ABS is the ABS light going to remain lit? If so is there anyway to stop the light from staying on?

The new gauges have 65k on them but my car only has 43k, there isn't a way to correct the new gauges to actual mileage right?

I realize the cluster swap issue has been discussed here many times before, just looking for a more definite responses to this particular case.

Thanks in advance.

To my knowledge, there is no way to correct the mileage on an electronic odometer.

You shouldnt throw the ABS light since your ECU still knows that your car doesnt have ABS. You should only throw that light if you swapped the ECU for one that thinks the car should have ABS, and the sensors arent plugged into anything.

Im not sure about the wiring. Sorry, hope the rest was helpful.

it should be plug and play...

however.. i cannot tell you about the ABS... sorry. but the cluster should not require a rewire...

and no.. you cannot change the mileage...

Ok, well I am out in my shop trying this now and they are not plug and play. When I just hook it up nothing happens so I am going to have to repin the connectors. Anyone have the diagram for a 05 EX cluster wiring?

Ok, so I finally figured out how to get the pins out. I am going to finish up in the morning.
Coupe more questions though,
Which wires will I have left over and not used?
Which wires will I have to move from one connector to the other?

This is going from a 05' DX cluster to a 05' EX cluster w/o side airbags btw.
I have the old connectors that came with the EX cluster. So I basically just make the old connector(dx) wire up like the new one correct(ex)?

I used that DIY. The cluster didn't function with those wiring diagrams. I finally got it working after switching wires out all morning.
