some of them came with it, so i would assume if you bought all the parts for an ej8 that had it it would work :what:

Some EX's came with ABS, they have a different digit in there VIN numbers. The LX also came with an optional ABS as well. I think its possible to put ABS on your car although I really don't know all the components associated with an ABS system. Google that s**t and see what you come up with.

I think EX sedans had it in 6gen.

I know for a fact all 94+ EH9s had it regardless of trans type

It's been an option on EX coupes an as many years as I can think of.

adding abs is a very big chore your going to need the proportioning valve and possibly the ecu from an abs equipped car. maybe the master cylinder from it as well. it would be time time time consuming. not a weekend job.

ABS is for drivers that don't know how to drive. If you feel your wheels lock, DON"T KEEP PRESSING THE BRAKE!!!

I can actually stop faster in my stepdad's car w/o pressing hard enough to engauge the abs... the abs to me feels like i've lost control of the car.

I was bummed at frist that my car didn't have it, but i'd have to say that i'm glad now.

Yes, it is possible to put ABS in ANY car. They use a separate ECU and you would need the proportioning valve, master cylinder, wheel sensors. It's too much work IMO.

My civic has ABS. At first it bothered me but I've gotten used to it now. It has actually been helpful in a couple situations.

Civics have an ABS Module by the battery. Beyond that the sensors work on the axles not the wheels.

4 channel ABS allows release of individual wheels that have locked. Something that absolutely no human being on the face of the planet can do with a single brake pedal.

I give a half a s**t about "threshhold braking". In the real world street surfaces are not uniform and not all braking occurs in a straight line. On the track, you're always able to tell which cars kept the ABS by how late they brake. ABS equipped car drivers stand on the brakes and slam their cars into the corner long after their non-ABS equipped counterparts have braked.

But if you want ABS you should probably just buy a car equipped with it.
