Acura OEM deck fits CIVIC?

Here's my question:

I had my aftermarket cd player stolen. Now I want to install a factory deck.

Someone is selling their 2000 Acura 1.6EL deck, I myself drive a 2000 Civic Dx.

Will the acura deck fit my civic?

Also, do I need to rewire everything once again since it is not aftermarket anymore?

Any feedback would help.

should fit, as long as its the same size as your din that you need, wiring should be simple, jsut use diagrams from the net

id say about a 70/30% chance of fitting. one way to find out is to see if an aftermarket wire harness for the acura is the same model number as one for the honda. but even if the harness fits the deck, the wiring may not be the same. its a tough call to make

It would fit in the hole, but i don't know if the wiring is different from canada to usa. Nothing 2 wiring diagrams wouldn't fix.

yes it will fit, canadian wiring isnt any different
