(for a b16a 2gen) are adjustable cam gears necessary to tune out valve overlap in a turbo setup? or do most people here say fuggit and boost that s**t anyway...

yes.. like guys did say.. them they help but not essential (if you think to run stock) for to boost that engine (i've that too and im boosting it.. and will not buy cam gears .. maybe later..).... for to avoid overlap just get a good springs and retainers if you can too.
though if you think to do a proyect they will help to set timimg "more accurate".
