ya you can make it work.. you'll also have to weld a new flange for the Blow off valve which commonly is placed in that intake tube area.

yeah I was going to do that. I just think it would look nice with the cai pipe there. It would save me a little bit of money too since I don't need the new pipe.

are you going to make your own piping or get a premade kit.
cuz if you get the premade kits, it would come with that piece anyways. just a waste of a Cold air intake setup if you will already have one with the kit.

I think I'm going to sell the cai now. I could get more for it than it would cost to buy a pipe to replace it with. I'll just paint the pipe with high heat paint. I'm building my own setup. kit's are a rip off.
There's a turbo shop about 10mins away from my house and the guy there seems to know everything. He says kits are nice but some are not really worth it.

good job on sellling the pipe. you could just order some pipes from www.jcwhitney.com ....very cheap (the price i mean). plus the bov doesnt need to be on the intake pipe, the place with the most pressure is on the inlet side of the ic.

couldnt tell ya, but the most pressure is on that side. what i always thought was that the further away your bov is from your throttle, but before the turbo, you could acctually keep most of the air in your intake tract in....(get it??) cuz what i think if you put it damn close to your throttle body, then all the air will come up the intake tract and be released into the atmosphere, losing alot of air in the piping.

maybe im not explaining this right...oh well.
