Hello everyone, (I'm new and love the thought of this site)

I have an 89 honda civic hatchback si, going down the road the battery light
Came on and then check engine light came on when car started dying. I narrowed the problem to the alternator and had a new one installed (due to one of the bolts being so rusted I couldn't break it loose). Well now it's running fine ex. The engine light stayed on. IV taken the battery cables off to reset but didn't work. So was wandering if anyone had any advice of what I should do next.

Thanks
Blake

How long did you pull the battery cables for?

Pull the negative cable and let it sit for 10 minutes or so. Codes should be cleared after that.
