after market head unit in 97 civic

what do I need to get in order for my head unit to fit in my civic? I have the right harness and all that, I just need to know how to make it fit in the dash, I know there's some kinda conversion thing.

if you're putting it down by the cupholders, you need two metal brackets for mounting the cd player and that should be about it. Im not really sure about up at the top because mine is at the bottom.

true i see where yo're talking about down by the cupholders, do I absolutely need the brackets? b/c it looks like it will fit w/ out them.

on second thought, I don't wanna put it down by the cupholders. I really like the stock one but I gotta listen to my CDs- I hate the radio and I hate the commercials. but it looks so pretty....

Then what you can do is take the stock one out, put the aftermarket in with a cubbie or whatever under it and put a single din block off plate down by the cupholders. Either that or another cubbie. When I say cubbie, I mean one like this one I bought with my cupholders:

..and besides putting it down by the cupholders creates a lotta problems. The top of the cupholder is always hitting the knobs on my cd player
