Though I own a 96', & the recall only dates back to year 2000 models; I can't help but wonder if that's due to fewer "older" generation models "on the road"--thus fewer reported incidents?
Does anyone know if the pre 2000 models were equipped with Takata bags, or from a different manufacturer; or if there were any similar incidents reported with pre-2000 models?
