Air Filter Question

Is there any Air filter brand or type that is better than the rest? I need an air filter for an AEM short ram intake and was wondering if any filter would do.

Was looking into the Ractive heat shield ones.

well AEM sends KnN filters with their intake systems, if thats what yuou have then spend 12.99 and get a filter recharger. and if you dont have a filter get the KnN

i have one of the APC colored ones from checker, it seems to work nice

a apex or hks filter are one of the best filter, but they cost about $100

K&N is probably your "best bang for the buck"...my works great.

can't go wrong with k&n. i have had more than one and they have all performed great. if you want to spend the $$ maybe try the apexi one like someone else said, it looks pretty good. i checked it out and i'd like to know how it works..

K&N is the best when I got my cold air Intake the stock filter that came with it, it got a rusted so I upgarted to K&N there so much better, no rusting way better air flow..
