Alarm keeps going off after arming it...anyone know what it could be?

Its a 99 Civic...it happens after about 30secs, you just stand next to it and goes off, even if you in the house and there no one or anything near it, anyone know?

I had an 01 ex do that. I got mine installed at Rogers Stereo and had to take it back cause it was defective.

Its Honda own, been on the car since new probably....someone said change the battery in the fob, but imo that only turns it on/off, nothing to with it once armed....or is it?

sounds like...

All alarms take a few seconds to arm. It sounds like the connecton from alarm to locking mechanism. Chek that and get bak to me.

How do I do that?


It still locks all the doors ect- eg a few signal flash's then all the doors get locked, but as the led stops flashing fast and flash's "normal" it goes off. Or about a minute after that, it goes off.
