I am ready to buy the viper alarm 690 that includes a 2 way page and keyless entry.. for 400 installed at my local shop.. The guy tells me that he can do this or give me another alarm system with same features but remote start too for 425. The name of this system is called "Ultra Start". Has anyone heard of them or knowanything about them? Or should i go with the trustworthy viper?

400 for a 690 thats steep. around here you can get a python with remote start for 419 with led 2-way or the lcd 2-way for about 475. anyways ill stick with viper. and make sure the shop does a good job at hiding, alarms are only as good as the install. is your car 5spd, if it is count out the remote start. almost evrey shop won't put a remote start in a 5spd.
wow 400 for the 690 thats a lot, i paid 300 for my 790vx, u should probably look somewhere else cuz it seems like the price is too steep
Got my alarm on ebay for $180 shipped, and paid $175 for install. It has remote start and a 2 way LCD pager remote. I've crawled all around my car and can't find a single component of the alarm *anywhere* not even the siren. From the sounds I can only guess it's somewhere at the front, but I really can't find it. My car was broken into/vandalized 3 times in a 6 month period but no one's touched it since I had the alarm installed. Coincidence maybe but it was worth every penny just for the piece of mind.
