alarm trouble

ok so i got just about everything hooked up. only thing left is this orange wire that says- connect to a 30 amp. relay for starter kill (-) output. i have no idea what that means, can anyone shine some light on that

its a magnum alarm, the wire comes outta the brain and its labeled "armed output"

im pretty sure that it's a ground when armed, which would be connected to a starter kill relay. what it does is when you arm the alarm, it sends a ground to the relay and opens the starter lead in the ignition and disabling the starter

If you have your relay and assuming its a 5pin single pole double throw relay (SPDT) the pinout diagram would be like this:

87 (The top pin going left and right) = None
87a (The pin in the center of the relay) = Starter wire, ignition side
30 (The bottom pin going up and down) = Starter wire, keyside
86 (The left pin going up and down) = This is where you connect your orange
85 (The right pin going up and down) = Connect this with your ignition wire (Not starter)

Obviously with this, you have to cut your starter wire in half. Just make sure you hide the relay good, and if you can cut the starter wire as far back as possible.
