Well my car is almost done! I should have her back this time next week.

Currently waiting on:
Spoon upper radiator stays
Lower rubber radiator mount/insert
Radiator hose (after the radiator is fitted in its fixed postion)
Windshield

Then i'll be picking up some cheap steelies/hubcaps with cheap tires on them just to get around on the nice days until spring time.

here are the pics!
(pic description above each pic)

two days ago, awaiting 99-00 VIS cf hood, headlights not fitted correclty yet

As of today (yes thats my bumper on the paint stand next to the car)

The hood is temporarly fitted, it will need more adjusting once the bumper/grille is fitted

:O the new koyo, fullsize b***h.

Fills the gap nicely

Bumper and grille awaiting installation.

why?

i got that VIS CF for free, insurance covered it.

And i forgot to mention, the hood is popped, not shut all the way. So thats why the gap is down there by the headlights.

Keep the comments comming :D

Good to see you'll be back on the streets soon, so was the radiator and everything else aftermarket covered? if so thats f**ken sweet man, that think has been out of comission for a while, and i think you will need to spend some alone time with your car(wash and wax) when you get her back

paintcode unkown, we had to do some custom mixing/matching to get it as close as possible. Previous owner doesnt even know the paint code and he was the one who originally painted it.

I bought the radiator from a friend, BRAND NEW IN BOX for $100. It's an OEM Koyo replacement for a 89-91prelude with a JDM b20. A stock replacement radiator like that usually retails for anywhere from $180-$220, and the koyo aluminum racing radiators with dual cores retail from $380-$430. So i got a good buy.

I didnt pay for any aftermaket parts to be installed, i paid strictly for repairs to original condition (which insurance overed). Also, i had a stock civic half radiator before, but they wanted $108 for one from honda, and my friend wanted to get rid of that fullsize koyo for $100. So i figured bigger is better. The only thing ill need to do is find a way to make a slim fan or two fit on the outside of the rad for a pusher fan, since there is absolutly no room on the inside.

After i get it home i still have to do some things. Theres a junkyard around here that sells knuckles for $75 each side with good condition ball joints, wheel studs, wheel bearings, and outer tie rod ends (and all that on mine need to be replaced), so im going to spend $150 that way and get both sides. Then i need to get some cheapo wheels/tires to get around on until spring when i update =), and i also have to find a slim fan and make it fit before i do any sort of long distance driving. Today im going to pickup a radiator hose for a 97-01 teg gsr, its a perfect fit once i cut off about 1" from each end.

Hopefully ill be doing a photoshoot this time next week =) ,mmmm mmm i cant wait!

EDIT:
oh and slept-n, its going to total out to around $3300, new radiator core support, pulled the frame straight (previous accident before i bought the car, knew about the accident, but not the frame), new headlights, new cf hood, new bumper, bumper support, bumper foam, paint materials, and all labor.
