Hello everyone, hope your all good.

I am apart from my Alpine amp now not working! Wondering if someone can help.

Basically my car was off road for 8 months, during which recently its back on road, I have put in a new battery, then wired up all the live wires to the new battery. I have two amps in my boot, the kenwood amp which runs the 6x9's works fine but my Alpine V12 (digital mono block) doesn't work! The amp has power to it (digital readings working, like amp temp) the fuse to the amp is fine so its not blown.

Anyone have suggestions what it could be? My friends said it could be the amps output lead connectors, which the internals could be faulty? I brought this about a year ago which I had only used for 3 months with no probs!
I will have to send it off for repair but this will be really costly, anyone come around this problem? Or idea's on what I could do?

Cheers!

First,

Always Always check the obvious.

Disconnect all fuses, triple check all wiring (I once swapped the negative with the postive  ) Double check all fuses again and put back in. Since you have two amps this is slightly an advatage. If the amp still does not work then try swapping all the cabling from the known working amp to the other amp. If this still does not fix it then it has to be something wrong with the amp, because you pretty much ruled out everything else.

Honestly, I have seen so many things installed incorrectly it is not even funny. It is not that you don't know what you are doing; I think it is excitement. My heart always goes a 100 miles an hour when I'm just barely getting the wires on because I can't wait to hear it, but this is the most important part=)

civic 11 is right just go back through tracing where your 4 or 8 guage is going making sure its all connected (ie: ground, remote, 12v
if it doesnt work still its the amp, mosfet???

my mate will be triple checking all the wires out tomorrow, though the amp all powers fine with no issues!
The remote connection seems to work fine in the other amp? not sure what you mean by mosfet? Are you asking if its a mosfet amp?

like civic11 said, just swap all the wires over from the other amp and if it works then you know its something faulty with the alpine. then you can take it somewhere and get it tested
