Hi, I know all you guys are Alpine fans... so I was thinkin on going with an alpine setup as well. I need you guys to give me a nice setup of an Alpine Head Unit, 6.5 speakers, 6x9 speakers, and maybe if needed tweeters. Please help me out on this one because I want a nice Alpine setup.

i'm currently running a alpine 9853, one of the new ones with the glide touch. I have my likes and dislikes with the glide touch, but overall i'd definately agree that alpine is one of the only headunits i would by for my car, mostly because of style and quality of sound. as for speakers and tweaters, i'd probably look for some basic 3 ways, maybe type r speaks or type S speaks. either or are pritty good, if you wanted to go with alpine. I actually am running pioneer 3 ways which i am quite happy with. thats just my 2cents.osoflin said:

Too bad people arent concerned with quality nowadays and go with eye candy and bling-bling
companies like Audiobahn are ruining this buisiness. No concern for anything remotely compared to sq just a bunch of overglorified amps and subs with some shitty decks and dvd players thrown into the mix.
The last great american company the came out was Mark Antony spearheaded by John Love the founder of IASCA they lived a short life and got bought out by concept.
I loved my Mark Antony amps great power and sq. Vacuum Tube drivers were perfect, but no longer.
Hopefully the last true high end companies, (even foreign) will survive

Alpine is probably the product i sell most of at my work other than JL Audio. Deck wise the new line just came out about 2 weeks ago, and depending on how much you wanna customise your sound its kinda hard to tell what model to go with.....Prices dropped a ton this year on their decks. I'm not sure what ride your puttin this in but I would go with a set of type R componets up front ~$229.99/pr. so you dont have to get seperate tweets seems how alpine dont make just tweets, and might as well go with the R's in back and thats around $149.99/pr. Not sure if your adding a sub in the back or not but if your not I would deffinetly go with the R's so you have more mid-bass. If you do go with the componets up front 2 things to watch out for, just deck power would starve those beasts and would gain alot if you could amp em, also depth. Alpine's are not friendly with mounting depth's.
