I have a 96 civic 4dr. I have a d16y7 in there right now. I was missing an alternator so I went to the junkyard and got one. I pulle it myself and got one for free, but, it is an alternator out of a 5th gen civic. Two of the wires match up between the two plugs. The black with yellow stripes are on both plugs and the white with blue stripes are on both plugs.the other two wires from the 96 plug are: white/green and white/red. The other two wires from the 93 plug are: solid blue and white/yellow stripe. Is there any way that the plug from the 96 harness will work for the 93 alternator, if I splice the plugs and make the one from the 93 fit on the harness of the 96?
