Am I worthy of a Type R grille?

My front grille is all faded from years in the sun and weather, so I want to get a new one. I think the TypeR ABS plastic mesh looks more modern so I'm thinking about going for this as a replacement. But am I "worthy"?

Don't worry, I'll make my own decision. But I have my original hardly modified stock D16. I run Si rims on my EX and a stockish looking exhaust (Stillen). Not gonna do much more either.

But when you see civics with TypeR grilles on, do you assume they're either heavily tuned/swapped/turbod or a ricer?

Since I'm not, or don't want to be any of those, I don't want to be pretentious. I really just replacing a faded nasty beat up grille. So I'm thinking about buying a JDM style Honda emblem... but NOT to put it on the hood like JDM, but to put it on the TypeR Grille. Yes, I know no one does that, but I don't care. I think it's the trend of current vehicles, and that's why I'm thinking about it. BUT... if you came across a car like I'm describing, would you want to race it, steal it, key it, or leave it alone? How do you think others would react? I don't want to do it if it's just going to bring unwanted attention to me.

I had the grill on my civic, i actually had 2 of em because they kept gettin fuct over after each accident. Looks way cleaner than the stock one.

I hope you're right. But here in Cali, I know too many people who got their cars jacked for joy riding or to chop or for some free base modifier.

Go for the grille.
Stop worrying about it, people will steal your car no matter what, when they're in the mood for a joy ride, any car will do.
If you're really worried about it just get an alarm, it'll help you sleep better at nights.
I think the grille will look good on your car.

That's basically a 99-00 si grill. Just get one of those and don't worry about it.
