just a quick question. i changed out my front speakers and got some alpine type r 6.5s wondering how i run the speaker wire to the amp. do i just splice into wire harness behind the radio or would i have to some how run a wire directly from the amp to the speaker? how do the professionals do it?

I did this on my car, and since my wire harness was a mess I just bought a ton of speaker wire and ran it front the speakers to the trunk of the car. If you need any more help I'll be glad to do so.

my speakers are in my door panels. when i open the door the speaker moves with it. which im sure most cars are the same way. i could just some how run the wire with the rest of the wires that run into the door but i was thinking maybe just splicing into the wire from behind the radio. unless not having a direct line from amp to speaker would affect the sound quality.

What I did to run the wires, I took off the fenders and ran the wires thru the original harness boot.

well thats how i figured pro shops do it i just didnt wanna go through all that just for speakers haha but i guess thats the best way it is right? i mean that would be the cleanest way to get the wires into the door.

also where did you guys mount your amps? in the trunk with the rest of the stuff or under a seat.

Mine are mounted on the panel cover for the trunk Until I can get the rear of my abcks eats done to accomodate them there.
