amp only works w/ tuner?

Ok, heres the background: I just installed 2 pioneer 2 channel amps with a sony explod hu (yeah i know, its crappy).

Anywho the amps seem to work fine, but only when Im on tuner. When I have a CD playing, I hear nothing from the speakers.


Any idea why its not workign when its playing a CD?

You hooked your amp turn on to the solid blue wire, which is for the power antenna turn on instead of the blue/white remote amp turn on.

Yupp... that was a good diagnosis. I was stumped.
I think he's right. just move the wire that runs to the amp from the blue antenna wire to the red (most are red) switched wire, or like he said, the blue/white remote wire.

Best bet is the blue/white so it turns on with any head unit function unless you want the amp to turn on every single time the key is turned forward, regardless of whether the stereo is on.
