Amp wont turn on

i was cruisn around with my friends and everythings was fine. the next day i found out my amp doesnt turn on. so i checked the fuses check my ground. and i notice that when i turn on my headlights every thing inside my car dims out. can any body help my noobness?

i would re-wire everything or have it professionaly installed for about 60 bucks ( what i did) well worth it...

K couple questions for ya

1)How old is the battery on your car?
2)How many amps do you have and what's the wattage on it(them)?
3)If amps are high wattage, are you using a capacitor?
4)Did you monkey with any of the orange wires off of the radio harness or the Red/Black stock wire on the car side harness?
5)Did you run the remote from the Blue/White Wire on the radio harness?

well i just bought my battery about a year ago i had the system done at local shop i know and my amp puts out 350 watts no capacitor.

check the wiring and dont over think it amps do get hot and maybe it burned?

get an electrical tester....and see if there is power in the remote wire... and see if there is power in the power wire...and testto see if the ground is ok....but you said that thing abou the light...take you car to a local autostore...autozone etc...and have them test out your electrical system... could be youre alternator thats causing the inside to dim...because its not charging the battery properly

ok i got it fixed. I took it down to my boys shop and tested the battery and alternator. it seems that my alternator was giving out so we replaced it. he even threw a new battery for me for free i just paid for parts. thx for the help though.
