i just got my civic last week. 07 si sedan certified used. it drives great and i love it. but, when i go between 40-50mph, i hear this annoying wobbling sound in the front end maybe coming from the wheels? it goes away at 50 then u can barely hear it again at late 60s - 70s. it is not an engine problem could it be the wheels?

You may want to have the wheels balanced, but first check the wheels and tires for damage.

could be alot of things. if you have a jack, jack the front of the car up and see if you can wiggle the wheels. thats after checking lugs of course. but if you can, take it back to honda.

well, i stopped at the Mavis near my house and the guy took it for a quick drive. The tires look brand new and he said it sounded like maybe a wheel bearing or quite possibly a bent wheel on the front passenger side wheel. I have an appointment for Honda Service for Friday. I got this car a weeka nd a half ago, so they HAVE to fix any problems or i will cause a scene heh heh.

They should fix it bro. i'm sure they have a guarantee or something. Ive bought a few cars from places that will let you return a car if you dont like it in 30 days. Sure they would rather have a sale then another ride on the lot.

so i got it back. Checked everything. Honda tells me that the bearings are good, the wheels are good, that it is just a "loud tire" and they wont cover new tires since it is ony a sound and no real problem with the car.

i guess ill save up for new tires.....

currently, it has Michelin tires on. I'm assuming they are the stock tires since the car only had 21k when i bought it. the back tires are pretty low on tread looks like the tires were rotated shortly before it was originally turned in

i had this same sound problem with my old mazda3. ended up being that the tires were "cupped", worn unevenly from the alignment being off. i think this is my be the same case here.

so what better tires should i get, im gonna go get 4 new ones soon.

Front End Passenger Side Wobble

I have a 2006 Honda civic LX with almost 100,000 miles on it and have had the same problem that you stated. I fought with the dealer countlessly and was told the same thing. I am on my 4th set of tires with this car, Bridgestone, Goodyear RSA, Goodyear Blzzard, and now Kumho and I still have the same problem. I was wondering what your outcome was with this issue cause I would like to resolve mine before I burn it even though I love it to death...:!:

well, i ended up getting new tires, good years, and that sound went away. I havent heard it since. if you say you've changed the tires four times with the sound not leaving keep bringing it in to the dealer. try different dealers in your area if one gives you a bullshit answer. it could be anything that has been posted on here. im lucky it was only the tires.

if honda keeps dicking you around and the problem has not gone away take it to a shop.
