Another 6th Gen window problem

I've searched and read a few other threads on the window problems but have not found one that relates to the problem I am having. A few weeks ago the passenger side window rolled down and immediately would not roll back up. When it rolled down it did not appear to come off the track. It does not sound like the regulator was even trying to engage. I took the door panel off and started testing connections with the test light. I found that I had power to the passenger side switch (5 prong). I moved to the next downstream connection right before the regulator (2 prong), with the test light on the yellow I have power when I move the switch UP (from both passenger side switch & driver side switch) and I have power to the Red when moving the switch DOWN (or visa-versa). So I figured it was the regulator that was bad. I pulled it and replaced it with a brand new one (not a reman) from Car Quest. Put it in and I still have the same problem.... The only thing I can think is a faulty "Brand New" part but i thought to check before I send this one back, order a new one and go through all the steps only to find myself in the same situation.
Any held and advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank You.

Why havent you just tested putting power & ground straight to the motor? It might just be the switch.

I tested the output from the switch and I received power there. I would think that if the switch was bad, I would not get power.

Run straight power as mentioned and youll know for sure whether or not the switch or regulator is the issue.

Power is what controls your motor and the motor controls the regulator, if the 2 pin plug gets power both ways then you need to run direct power to the motor to test if it goes up or down. Pull the whole assembly out of the door and run a positive and negative off your batter directly to the 2 pin connector on the motor to see if it moves, if your getting power to the plug though I can almost guarantee its the motor that's bad (could be a bad ground though causing the motor to not run)
