another failed DIY

tried coloring my floor mats black the other day. there was a thread in the how-to's explaining it and i did exactly what he said. i bought dupli-color vinyl and fabric paint and put 2 coats on my floor mats. i then let them dry for 4 days, yes 4 whole days. they looked awesome until i tried putting them back in the car. after a ride to work, i got out and saw the paint was faded away in all the areas where i had my feet. whats up with that?

thats the only thing i can think of. maybe i was supposed to do only one coat?

are you sure somehow some way it didint dry completly?. but if it did then i guess try applying another coat or two.

did you wash them really well before appling the stuff? If they are not washed completly and vacumed then its easier for it to lift. That might be your problem.

its all about preparation. bet you didnt clean them well enough.
