Hey I just recently bought a 97 civic ex coupe and the shifter was so sloppy that it wouldnt go into first unless i took of the plastic dash piece around the shifter, anyways I bought a Sk2 Dual bend and it seems to have solved the problem, but now the shifter rubs against my exhaust and i think i know how to fix it but i thought i should ask before cutting something off. Its right where the bottom of the shifter connects to the the shift rod, it looks to be some kind of counter weight??
