I have 6.5" JL components in the front doors and am looking to complete the set up with some 6 X 9s for the rear. My question is which preference you guys have, 2-way or 3-ways? I understand the difference between the two, I just have little experience with them so I'm looking for opinions. Thanks guys

3 Way Orions out back for me. To be honest, you prob won't even notice any difference. As long as your imaging is correct you shouldn't even hear the rears.

as long as you go good quality it'll be hard to tell the difference. Some tweets in the front would be worth the investment though.

Do you have a sub? If not go one way for a bit more bass response and then go for a pair of tweets up front at the base of you a pillars. You can do this for the same amount as getting three ways. Three ways don't give great base response, too much junk in front of the 6x9 driver. The other issue with three ways is the crossovers are usually pretty cheap.

The only good two ways that do a descent job in civics are the JBL or Infinities with the external crossovers. Just my opinion. Civics are bad for rear deck speakers. They all sound pretty muddy. The flat placement of the speakers and the distance between the rear deck and the glass don't allow the sound waves to travel far enough before they hit the glass. I think some higher frequncies get cancelled out.

I don't run any rear speakers. I run everything up front.
