ive been trying to peice a kit together over winter. my aim is for roughly ~350whp with stock motor

I can get a pretty good price on this kit

cx racing cast manifold, cx racing 60 trim turbo, hks bov, srt4 intercooler, piping, couplers, 560 evo injectors, and 2.5" downpipe.

I plan on swapping out a gt28 for the crap 60trim it comes with, i was also looking at a 38mm tial wastegate but it has a 7lb spring. some other stupid stuff like fuel rail, fpr, and a 255 walbro.

i plan on using s300 for engine managment
what do you guys thing of my planning so far. will it work? thanks

I dont think u will get 350 at the wheels, but it sounds like a good start!

Its all in the tune man!

Awesome platform to start from 350 would be possible with a little head work and maybe some ITR cams but like mymmeryloss its all in the tune bro 75% of it is IMHO have you done a compression test or a leakdown test on your stock gsr to check the health of your stock motor? You never want to boost and then find out u have bad piston rings

its tough to guess how much power you will make on a ching chong turbo. Somtimes those turbos are no where near the size they are advertised at. And I hope you mean a GT28r and not the older nissan "disco potato" from the pulsars and S15 240s. From what Ive read (but no personal experience) people have a tough time cracking 325whp from them. s**t even the GT2871r guys are running more than 15+ psi on their sr20s to run in the 320-340whp range. Granted that is not a high compression GSR.

The disco potato is a great turbo, but like stated above, its really only good to around 300 from what ive read..

Spend money on quality parts and leave the useless stuff out. You don't need a fuel rail nor do you need the the fuel pressure regulator. I used my stock ones when I made 339hp and 278tq with my b16(mostly stock with a few internals..nothing crazy. But get a better manifold and turbo. I dyno'd for 3 plus hours getting everything perfect so yes the tuning really matters.

most deffinatly a 2871r, lmfao at disco potato

the guy said the intercooler piping is a backdoor setup, pros and cons to that?

its an unopened jdm gsr i bought from an importer in the summer. did timing belt, water pump, valve adjustment, full tuneup. it should be good to go. its a very healthy motor

my only concern is right now im using a 2.25" thermal catback and i dont want to get rid of it :( that will deffinatly hold me back along with the 2.5" downpipe

got traction

i rock the sohc

stock GSR cams will be fine. People make 800 whp on them all the time
