OMG Turbo lag no more!!

So I finally got a little time today so I went an hooked up and partially tuned the anti-lag thats a feature on the 034efi standalone...WOW I can hit full boost at 2000rpm if I set it there, not only that, its also loud as all hell. Boost makes my exhaust valve open so I have straight 3" exhaust dumping under the car

Basically this is what rally cars use, you go into a corner and instead of lifting off the gas, you hold down the anti-lag button, and the ecu cuts back timing soo much that the car makes no power, but it loads up the motor creating boost. The gas combusts very late in the cycle., once your ready to get on the gas coming out of the corner, you let off the switch and your immediatly at full boost, with normal timing.

I prolly should mention that the egt's get extremly high so its not like I can use this everytime I drive otherwise Id be replacing manifolds and turbo pretty often, but for the fun runs and such, its great. Now i gotta learn how to properly use it
so... anyone ever heard or seen this kinda thing on a honda? what do you think about it?

sounds like a pretty stupid feature to me. super high egt's are an excellent recipe for detonation, and turbo lag is NOT that hard to control now, especially with the gt series ball bearing turbos out. a PROPERLY sized turbo should spool with no problems around 3000-3500 rpm, if not before. besides, why the f**k would you want full boost at 2000 rpm?is it really that difficult to downshift???

on a daily driver this sounds like a recipe for a rental car and a big repair bill

"The full-throttle shift function available in Stage-3 will be extremely beneficial for a turbo-charged or super-charged Honda since it functions as an anti-lag device. The ability to keep the throttle fully floored keeps the turbo or super charger spinning at speed and maintains boost to the engine even during gear shifts. This is an extremely powerful function. " ??? I don't get how it is any better???

Anyone got more info, or better, anyone using it???

ummm for racing, it would bost a turboed car's 60 ft times by alot, and also allow you to run a bigger turbowith less lag at the track
