Apexi VAFC VTEC Controller

I found a VTEC Controller Apexi makes its the VAFC 2, for 50 bucks. how well does this work. it has a digital lcd screen and all that good jazz. will this mess with my vtec in any way besides me adjusting my vtec manually? would i be able to take it off and put my vtec back to normal? and is this a good brand and deal?

dammit unless u (or any other CC member) has a fully built motor...do not buy those vtec controllers. like i said, only unless ur motor is fully built of ur PROFESSIONAL tuner tells u that u need 1 so he can use it to tune ur car

Calm down bud.


Hey man rather than spend you money on a VTEC controller, just get an OBD1 ECU (once you've built your motor) and have it tuned. You will be much happier with the results.

i have my tranny built on top speed. i would like my vtec to be a bit lower, around 5k or so that way i have a bit more to play with before i hit the rev limit. nothing to low. so i was looking into this for that reason.

yea do wat neoc said, jus convert to obd1 and get a p28 ecu and get it tuned. vtec and a bunch of other thingies can be modified thru a tune depending on the program and tuner

for $50 i would do it, unless the wires were cut then f**k that, i bought one with the plug and play harness and the apexi stand for it for $80, had a friend install it, drop the vtec to 5k and im cruisin

I have a 95 civic, obviously OBD1 and i already have a p28 ECU on it. I was just wondering what you guys thought would be the best vtec controller to get for the money?
Suggestions would be apprietiated.
