i run stock axles, but alot of people break them launching the car on slicks. If you preload the suspension, you are less likely to break the axle.

personally, i find some hasport axles that could hold 500hp. plenty of play room for the future

if your going to buy aftermarket axles, get the DSS 2.9's

when your getting ready to launch you slip the clutch out just to the point where it grabs the car and tries to pull you forward. This way when you 'dump the clutch' there isnt such a shock to the driveline.

^YES!!

preloading the axles, Ive seen 600whp builds on stock axles when they snapped their racing DSS ones but still wanted to go through the rest of race night.

All axles have "play" for the joints.

When you preload, you prevent that "SLAP" of the play hitting the parts of the axles together

This preload ALSO saves wear and tear on your differential

Use the e=brake if you wanna get a feel for it. of course, when its loaded, you will feel the car pull slightly.

Can use the e=brake and drag the car to the starting line if you wanna keep that preload

yea all good points. u never wanna dump the clutch unless ur fully set up for it. iv seen some bad things come from dumpin the clutch it puts a lot of stress on the car. i mean it would be safe if u wanna go all out, but u dont necessarily have to, would be nice if u have the cash.

Real racers almost NEVER dump the clutch

with slicks and low power, you can stall or tear some s**t apart

anything over 200whp, and you will probably be spinning the tires

dumping teh clutch is a no no
