Guys,
I'm about to lose my mind :-( I have a 07 Civic Si Sedan and for the past few months I noticed the radio while turned off would black out and come back on displaying the "Welcome" logo but it would just stay turned off only showing the time right after the logo would disappear. I also noticed this happen when the AC would be on, however, it also started doing it with or without the AC being on, basically, randomly. Now, last week, as I was driving at night and I turned on the bright lights the radio blacked out and came back on again displaying the "Welcome" logo but it just stayed turned off only displaying the time right after the logo disappear. I hope you’re following me. I took the vehicle to the Honda dealership, they plugged it in to their machine and did a diagnose, but everything appears to be okay. Also, I mentioned to the guy at the dealership how the AUX stopped working on the radio. So after explaining everything to him, his conclusion to all this hot mess is that I need a new radio, which a replacement through Honda is going to cost me $800 not counting labor. I'm so frustrated at this point. So I just wanted to know if anyone here has encounter this or similar problem or has heard of anything like this. If so, please hit me up with any info you may have. I would be greatly appreciated! ThnX! :-D
