why are you drilling into the sheet metal?

you could make a floor and mount it to that

Just get small enough screws that go just into the carpet

its not just a carpet which is only about 1/8 of an inch thick there is also a board for the spare tire well acess and thats not gonna hold down a 10" sub i dont think carpet will do. Hmmm what is this make afloor you mean a templete of the spare tire board but thicker.

Use the metal just below your seat backs. When you fold down your seats, pull the carpret away and you'll see some metal you can drill into. That's a good ground.

this metal behind the seatbacks is it anywhere near the gas tank , fuel or brake lines. I was wondering about the area closest to the hatch door almost like in the picture i would make a false floor but im not home im at school still.
