whats up guys, i recently scored a nice deal on some 6.5" subwoofers from elemental designs. I ordeered two of these subs and not quite sure how to run them in the civic. Was thinking about slightly modding the back deck and putting them where the 6x9's are but im not sure how that would work... also i think they are too much boom for the doors, and i have will have a JL Audio 10w6v2 in the trunk... suggestions?

If you have the JL in the trunk, then I would not run mismatched subs with each other...I have never heard a 6.5" sub before, and am not even sure of the response you would be getting out of them...

ive heard of 6.5" subs but i think they are a wase of time. if your looking fo good SQ i would just sell them and get some good speakers to replace what you have in your car. if you just want alot of bass i would still sell them and get a better amp or subs or if your not running that big of an amp you could even go with a capacitor. but thats just my opinion.

i replaced all the speakers in my car with cheapish kenwoods, and just replacing the rear decks with the kenwoods was night and day for the bass. ill put it this way, the stock 6x9 in your rear deck lid run at 35 watts each, so pretty much any speakers you put in there will give you deeper bass as well as better sound.

is that in your '96? stock speakers in todays cars are of much better quality. but when you upgrade from stock its always going to make a big difference.

You're probably not going to get much response out of those lil speakers.

I'm pretty sure that they're mid bass woofers.

You'd be better off getting a single 12.
