anybody kno if there are any turbo systems for an auto civic or would i have to construct a custom one?

basically my mom bought me a car for my 17th birthday honda civic 98 d16y7 engine n i already put aem exhaust hks exhaust system headers and still slackin in the mph.....madre would b pissed if i tried to sell my car n get a manual 1 soo i was thinkin bout gettin a turbo system n i found 1 for the d16y7 but it doesnt say anything bout fitting on automatic

why not get a manual tranny? For a d series you could find one cheap. The conversion would be easy, well...depends on what you call easy. But, 5 spd ecu, shift linkage, center console and some hell. :lol:

hmmm...used d series tranny, $100-200. 5 spd ecue, $50- 100, shift linkage, $75 ??? If your lucky, you can find a wrecked 6th gen at a junkyard. Ebay it.

i say you just enjoy having a reliable car while you can especially if some one else bougt it for you , wait till you buy your own car to f**k it up

an aem intake and hks exhaust is not gonna make u the least bit faster....on any civic...especially on an automatic...u have an automatic civic..of course its gonna be slow..

umm... a turbo kit wont makes no diffrents between auto and manual. The ktis are engine specific, not drivetrain.

Also, Id just do a whole engine swap to a B series. I love my new B. Its so much more fun then my old D.

d or b. a turbo is gonna be hellla fun. but. id say, dont spend anymore $$ on the auto-keep that as a dd, and buy something to build up. and drive the auto till its done.

auto to manual conversion is so worth it, I'm planning on it when I come home from college

Okay, how about this?

boost it with the automatic. Then when the automatic takes a dump, you have a valid excuse to auto-to-manual tranny swap. :what:
