Avic-N2

Does anyone know if the Pioneer AVIC-n2 will fit in my 02 Civic Coupe? Has anyone done it that can let me know how tricky the install was?

yes the avic n-2 being a single din unit will fit into an 02 civic just like any other deck. I will say if you have one get it professionally installed

Do I need a special casing for it? Also if anyone has pictures of the install that'd be sweeeet.

You just need the dash kit and wire harness like any other deck. The only issue is the avic units nose sticks out like a f**king elephant. Like a good inch out of the dash.

Im thinking about buying it, unless theres another in dash lcd with a nav system that might be better. where can i get the dash kit and wire harness? that doesnt sound too sweet if it sticks out that far..haha

for the price the avic n-2 cant be beat. The only other all in one I think is eclipse. Now if you have the possibility for a double din application in your car I would look into the avic d1. The double dint screen. It would 100% slicker in your car

yeah the d1 is sweet...i thought about it, but it doesnt play dvds...

thats what sucks about that unit. and the fact that neither one can be bypassed easily sucks more balls!

i'm gonna be using head rest screens in the back, from what i've read i wont need to bypass anything for those correct?

99.9% you wont need to bypass. I think alpine is just bypass happy

well i dont plan on watching anything while i drive, so it the front doesnt bother me too much
but i still want other people to be able to watch movies or play games on road trips and such

I play ps2 in mine when I am waiting for people and s**t....Other than that, it's just my friends playing it when I drive.

i have a screen in my rizzle, when i park i play video game sometimes

but i dont keep a gaming system in there 24/7 for safety reasons

the passenger watches dvds on road trips though
