B-series transmission

what is the best b series transmission that i could possibly buy other than the typeR i currently have a b18c swap and need a new transmission. i'm putting a gsr cluster into my 90 civic si hatch and i need an electronic vss. so i thought to myself, why not just go buy a new tranny instead of just a vss. the tranny will need to be replaced eventually and now is a better time than never since i can swap it out at my school the proper way.

U will have to get a cable unless ur converted

yes i know this. but im fine with converting. although i am looking for a cable. i just need to know the best tranny for a cable and the best for hydro... and if the cable comes with an electronic vss

I thought all b series were electronic vss, although you can stuff a cable vss in there and get it to work? maybe not the earlier Integra B18?
BTW a VSS for a USDM Accord is the same as the one that comes with a 1st gen b16a JDM. Cheap on ebay. I replaced mine but found out the original was working but I had a different problem.
Regardless, to partially answer your question I have a Y1 (with LSD) that came with my 1st gen B16a and it did come with an electronic VSS.

im not sure which transmission i have in my civic right now, i know its ridiculous... so one can throw a cable vss into any b series cable transmission? if so this is reversible? and one can put a elect vss back into it? does any electro vss work from any year as long as its b series? i know im asking a lot of question i just dont wanna eff things up

Prolly an ls but best cable would be gsr
And best for hydro would be itr because of lsd
