i have a few questions about whtas best for a b16 turbo.. right now my cars in the shop and i have to choose either RC 370 or RC 550 injectors and also a 8lbs flywheel or stock.. i have all the parts but the guy doing the swap said its best to go with either the 370's or find 440's but i was thinkin since i already have both 370s and 550s i can just use the 550s and lower the fuel from my vtec controler, as for the flywheel he said its best to use the stock one are im gunna be just spinning, i also have a question about a intake mani is it best to use a Skunk2 or a Edlebrock with a 75mm TB.. i already have the Skunk2 but can get my hands on a used edlebrock with the TB for $250.. btw whats the max boost for a pretty stock b16, just has block guard, Cometic Head gasket .40mm thick ?? something like that, milled head with PNP, im new to turbo i just bought the car with the kit from my brother so i know alot about the motor and abused it had since it had 12k on it.. if you know of any other things i could add the would help out with reliablity that would be great.. I was thinkin of gettin a Gsr or ITR intake cam but might go with some other kinda turbo cam..

after i make up my mind on the parts it should be done by fri or sat.. so ill have pics..

BTW i searched and couldnt come up with anything helpfull

I am going to say keep it around 5psi the CR on the B16 is to high to run more. Keep the stock flywheel, the RPMs wont drop so much between shifts, and you can keep boost pressure between shifts. I would use the 550s and real fuel managment like uberdata or hondata. With the block guard, make sure you had the sleeves honed and decked after the install. Also it is a good idea to get it wealded in so it dosent move once the engine is hot. Personally i would have the block posted or filled instead of a block guard.

As for the intake i have always wondered if bigger or smaller was better. I figured with a smaller volume it would build pressure faste3r but flow less, and the oppisite for the bigger.

550's are overkill if u are only running 6psi. 370's should be fine. get an FPR too
the v-afc wont controll them either im pretty sure. like io_303 said, uber or hondata

how are u turning up the boost from the wastegate? i'm assuming u are saying u are going to change the wg spring or u are turning it up thru a manual boost controller

i dunna really its something with the spring, my boy tryed to explain it to me but i still somehow forgot.. but my vafc has a program type of thing that i can set the air fuel level.. its number 2 im not sure the 1st on had that.. theres alot of other stuff i can do with it but i set it stock till i hit the dyno.. but yeah im doin 6psi for now after the summer i plan to pull the motor apart and build it up. i started to buy the parts but i dont have everything plus i wanna get used to the turbo. heard with that much power in a civic its hard to handle.. i never really ripped the s**t outa a turbo car but since this is mine i get to..

if u dont know what u are doing, i suggest u have someone do it for u. boost is controlled by the wastegate spring. if its a 6psi spring, u wont hit over 6psi unless u hook up a boost controller and turn it up. or change out the spring for a bigger one. again, if u dont know what u are doing, have an experienced professional do it.

i know what a v-afc is, and i know what it does. i ditched mine for hondata, REAL fuel management. if u have it set at stock settings, dont put bigger injectors in yet. and again, u dont sound like u know what u are doing w/ it anyway.

6psi will make you car faster, but not uncontrollably faster. and that also depends on the size of the turbo. u dont have to hit boost all the time, it can be driven normally

like i said i was having my boy do the turbo, as for the vtec controler im switching it out with my Hondata s200 and lettin my boy set it when he dynos the car, when it comes to turbos i dont know s**t but im learning, the turbo is a garrett t4, as for a professional hes not really a trained tech but i trust him hes built alot of motors that lasted, he has a 1st gen teg doin mid 10's

In this case I'd say 550 b/c you can always add a lil more boost w/ these same injectors., as if you were to buy 370 changed your mind later down the line & wanted more boost you might need bigger injectors!
right now i have both, but i plan on useing the 370s in my other car since its built ( all motor ) right now it has 310s but i can always sell them.. the reason im really stuck is my brother spent so much money and listened to about 5 diff people got all parts he didnt need, he was selling the car cheap and since were blood he gave me it with everything cheaper.. but im selling all the stuff thats worthless and robbing parts off my other car.

you'll want to keep the stock flywheel for driveability. Run the 370's for now, you can switch to the 550's later if need be.
