I have a 92 LX with a 95 DX motor and have been exploring many power options such as mini-me, D16Z6 swap and turbo. Yesterday I rode in a 99 Civic Si and the speed blew me away. Where could I find a B16? What all will I need to hook-up? What special stuff do I need to do to run VTEC? I am still in high school and therefore have a small budget and am competant enough to do the work myself. So my final question is how much do you think it would cost?

Thanx for all the info! :D

Honestly, alot of you people must have never drivin or drove in fast cars.

How can the speed of a 6th gen Si "blow you away??? They really are not that fast.
Yes they have potnetional but with your basic bolt ons, your not gonna get blown away, not even close. Now if the Si was Super Charged or Boosted or completely built up, thats a different story.

I'm not trying to be an a*****e, I know it sounds like I'm comming off as one but these types of threads crack me up.

The SI that I rode in had a Jackson Racing supercharger, thermal exhaust, DC sports, AEM intake, cam gears, and Toda Flywheel.
I know that I can' t be that fast with just a swap but I don't expect it to be. There is one thing for sure, It will damn sure be faster than a d15b7.
Thanx every1.=)

Here is my plan, tell me what you think:
Order a 1 G B16 longblock from hmotorsonline.com
Get an S4C trans from my friend
Get the rest of the parts I need from my friends wrecked Si (free of charge).
This is the cheapest plan I think.

True that, but a JRSC on a b16 is a huge waste of money IMO there is a thread on clubsi with a dyno chart from JAckson RAcing, the HP maxed out at 177 on a '00 Si, for 4 Gs you get 17 HP? lmao... *doing my best not to sound like an ass*
